Our timesSunday... I always feel sad on sundays, for no reason. To me sundays are melancholic and give away the loneliness vibe. So I always watch a heartwarming movie on sundays. This sunday I came across this movie called: Our Times. Now I know it's not for guys but I'm a girl so I ain't complaining. The movie left me speechless as I wasn't expecting myself to like it that much. It's so beautiful and it made me cry my heart out. If you haven't watched the movie and you're into rom coms and movies that take on friendship you should definitely watch this one. The best decision I've made tonight was to give this movie a shot. The way the movie took on the friendship between the two leads: Hsu Tai-yu and Lin Chen-hsin, made me realise that what brings happiness is actually having someone with whom you can share all your marking moments in life especially your firsts, as you'll witness how the female lead will skip class for the first time, will roller skate for the first time and at last love for the first time. I loved how the simplicity of the dialogue made the movie light and easy to follow and understand. There were two moments that made me cry like I've never cried before: The first one was when we could finally see the story from his perspective and how he chose to be her friend because he felt sincerity and the purity of her heart through the chain letter that she sent him. Not only that the way he narrates the story his way and how after nearly 2 hours of watching the movie and considering Lin Chen hsin feelings, we could finally know how it was like for Tai-yu. The second one and this one I replayed a lot of times and still cry everytime I watch it, is the last scene, apart from when she turns back and faces him what made me cry was their last words to each other when he said to her: It's been a long time. And here I really have to admit that the actress is amazing when she nodded her head, looked down, cried and then replied: It's been a long time. That is what I call acting, it's in those simple moments, those short seconds in a scene that turn out to be the entire purpose from the scene, that make you realise that you really enjoyed the movie and felt the emotions you were supposed to feel. It doesn't only make you cry, it'll make you laugh laugh and laugh. Darren's smile though. Apart from him being extremely handsome his smile was what made some scenes in the movie bright. You'll know the scenes and understand what I mean when you watch the movie ^_^ I cried laughed and most certainly enjoyed the movie. The actors were amazing especially the lead Darren Wang, who not only played his role well but made believe as if the character was written only for him to play. Not in any moment in time while I was watching the movie did I feel like they were fake acting. It was so professional and passionate. I loved every single moment of the movie, and I totally recommend it. P.S: Not to forget the special appearance of Andy Lau at the end. I mean he promised her that he'll make Andy Lau sing for her and he had to keep his promise. Beautiful heartwarming movie.
